Management Center for Victim Support (MZ.O)

Management Center for Victim Support (MZ.O)

The know-how of CLC in the areas of legal, administrative and institutional reforms in the sphere and scope of justice systems, which had been gained in many different projects, was the key to the award of the contract to plan, set up and operate the Management Center for Victim Support (Managementzentrum Opferhilfe [MZ.O]) for the Federal Ministry of Justice. Implementation of the project started on 1 March 2011.

The Management Center for Victim Support (MZ.O) was established by decree BMJ-V306.200/0029-III 4/2010 of the Federal Ministry of Justice of 24 May 2011 (renewed by BMJ-Pr306.200/0031-III 4/2016 of 28 July 2016) . For the justice system it serves as a central co-ordination agency and networking platform for public authorities, organisations and individuals working in the field of victim assistance and victim protection and aims to facilitate a sustainable exchange of information and experiences.

The central tasks of MZ.O include contributing to the development and implementation of training and concepts of continuing education and to the enhancement of existing technical standards in cooperation with public authorities, organisations and individuals working in the field of victim assistance and victim protection.
