Association of German Pfandbrief Banks (vdp)

Since the foundation of the CLC Association almost two decades ago, a close cooperation has been maintained with the Association of German Pfandbrief Banks (vdp), which started with research projects on Land Registry and Cadastre in Central and Eastern Europe which were managed by Mario Thurner and co-funded by vdp and carried out under the academic direction of professors Dr. Constanze Fischer-Czermak, DDr. h.c. Dr. Walter H. Rechberger and Dr. Martin Schauer from 1997 to 1999.

From these first few collaborations a cooperation developed between the CLC Association and the Association of German Pfandbrief Banks (vdp) in the preparation of Country Reports on Real Property Law in transition countries in Central, Eastern and South-Eastern Europe that has been lasting for more than a decade.

Today's cooperation with the Association of German Pfandbrief Banks (vdp) includes the Round Tables on Security Rights over Real Property, the Country Seminars on Real Property Financing and Legal Monitoring, the latter also in cooperation with vdpExpertise GmbH and vdpPfandbriefAkademie.
